Did you know everyone has a website in Malaysia these days, including laksa sellers?! Zetty and I went to one such seller, Laksa Shack, this afternoon.
Whoever the owner is, he has many outlets and we went to his one in Bangsar Village, where I frequented a few times when I was working in KL last year. I had Laksa Sarawak (MYR9.90/USD2.82), which Zetty said isn't close to what the real one would look and taste like in real Sarawak. What I liked about my Laksa Sarawak yesterday were its steamy hot laksa gravy and generous servings of curry chicken pieces.
When you go to Laksa Shack, you'll realise there are so many kinds of laksa in Malaysia. Cool. Really cool. Really really cool. And of course while I'm there, I thought of my laksa-lover friend Sabrina and Aunt Tina, and how they would love to be there, too.

- Angel holds a degree in Communication from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia with specializations in Journalism and Psychology. She entered the United Nations system as the Communications Associate of the Malaysia country office, where she formulated and implemented media strategies on international development issues relating to integrity and transparency, democratic governance, environment, HIV/AIDS, poverty reduction and South-South cooperation, as well as gender issues and the Millennium Development Goals. Angel also worked on several development projects on Afghanistan, particularly in reviving its dried fruits industry through modern agro-processing methodologies, and in encouraging foreign direct investment to the reconstruction of Afghanistan, for which she championed while at the Afghanistan Investment Support Agency, the investment arm of the Government of Afghanistan. She is currently a recipient of the Lee Kuan Yew Postgaduate Scholarship at the LKY School of Public Policy, the political science arm of the National University of Singapore, where her work and research in international development and poverty alleviation continues.
