Diagnosis vs Prognosis

Dear Phangster,

So you're right (yet again) - diagnosis is a confirmation, while prognosis is just a speculation:

Diagnosis
Medicine: The act or process of identifying or determining the nature and cause of a disease or injury through evaluation of patient history, examination, and review of laboratory data. The opinion derived from such an evaluation. A critical analysis of the nature of something. The conclusion reached by such analysis. Biology: A brief description of the distinguishing characteristics of an organism, as for taxonomic classification.

Prognosis
A prediction of the probable course and outcome of a disease. The likelihood of recovery from a disease. A forecast or prediction: a gloomy prognosis for economic recovery.

And now that we know "ban san" is "pasar" in Hokkien, what about "jamban"?! Muahahah! *evil laugh*
